Hello, I own a 2080TI with a dual screen configuration of 240Hz and 60Hz. Whenever I play videos or stream on the lower screen, my main gaming display (fullscreen or borderless) experiences strange input lag that mimics the 60Hz rate, even when running at high frame rates like 240fps. Additionally, I notice performance drops occur without any YouTube videos—my game runs smoothly at 240FPS but crashes to 190-200 FPS randomly during video playback. Is this behavior typical? If not, what should I do to resolve it? Thank you in advance.

Maybe try a full-screen layout without borders, and use the alt tab to play the video, which seems to work okay for me

I also tried that, actually the performance gets more hits on borderless.

Initiate a restart of the computer. All I needed was to restart it again.

@Jurrunio
apologies for the multiple messages, it seems an overlay was responsible for 90% of it. Your advice was really useful, thank you!

Avoid watching YouTube during games? Chrome and YouTube consume excessive resources for what they ought to be handling.
