Hi,
I'm experiencing performance problems in Resident Evil Village.
I tested both demo versions on my PC and they were running smoothly at 60 fps.
Now that I've downloaded the full game, my frame rate drops to 20-50 fps, especially when entering new areas.
For instance, the beginning of the game was stable, but once you reach the village it starts to lag.
If I exit and re-enter that area, the performance returns to normal, which happens in every new section of the game.
My PC specifications are: GTX 1650 SUPER, RYZEN 5 3400g, 8 GB RAM.
I hope someone can help me fix this issue. Thank you.

is the ryzen 5 3400g actually equipped with 4 cores and 8 threads? just to confirm. Also, resident evil 8 seems to strain that graphics card a lot—full game runs are significantly heavier than any demo. It's advised to install at least 16GB of RAM since this title consumes a lot of memory; consider a 3200mhz or 3600mhz 2x8GB setup for better performance. Ryzen performs best with two high-speed RAM modules, so if you have a dual-slot motherboard, put it in slots 2 and 4. Don't forget to enable the XMP profile in BIOS when using 3200mhz or higher RAM.

Is the Ryzen 5 3400G actually running with 4 cores and 8 threads? Just checking. Also, Resident Evil 8 seems to be quite demanding for that GPU—Full Game usually uses more memory than any demo. You should definitely consider 16GB of RAM; a 3200MHz or 3600MHz dual 8GB setup will boost performance noticeably. Ryzen tends to perform better with two high-speed RAM sticks, so if your motherboard has two slots, put the RAM in slot 2 and 4. Also, make sure to enable the XMP profile in BIOS when using 3200MHz or higher RAM.

Yes, it's running smoothly with 4 cores and 8 threads. Everything you mentioned is correct. I was surprised by the big differences in frame rates—some areas are very high while others are low. I also didn’t realize I was testing the lowest settings and resolution. Thanks for the clarification!
