Hey there! Your setup sounds great for gaming. The 16GB RAM and SSD should handle most tasks smoothly, which explains the smooth 144fps you're seeing. The issue with the 64-player modes likely comes from increased network load or more demanding game settings, not your storage drive itself. Try checking your internet connection speed and latency if you suspect networking is the cause. Otherwise, it might just be a matter of how the games are configured for higher loads.

It seems related to tracking 64 players, which may put more strain on your CPU. This is just what others have said, so keep that in mind.

I haven’t performed in-depth testing yet, but I’m interested in learning if others with powerful setups have faced comparable issues.

I’m not someone who tries to limit what you can do on this forum, but I doubt you’ll get smooth 144 FPS from an i5 in BF1. My setup includes a 6600K and GTX 1070, and while I rarely fall below 60 FPS, I don’t think I can keep it above 70 or 80 consistently. In multiplayer games, you’ll likely see all four cores running near full capacity most of the time.
