Performance on Black Myth Wukong with 6800 XT and 5800X3D
For fun, I had a 980 Ti system with 2560x1080 resolution. Using TRS@60% FrameGen enabled, the High preset ran at 43fps but dropped to 30fps when it hit the minimum. The Spoiler effect froze because of VRAM limits. Overall, the game felt worse than Sekiro on the lower setting.
It requires more than 6GB of VRAM on high and cinematic settings, yet it still fits comfortably within an 8GB buffer. The visuals appear poor in low motion but remain acceptable in static moments. While it doesn’t look worse than Sekiro, the excessive LOD pop-in, shadow pop-in, vegetation pop-in, and similar issues make it quite bothersome to view.
It seems similar results come from both of us using a 6950xt. Maybe the X3D CPU is handling the workload?
I increase the GPU clock speed on Linux, but it doesn’t match the performance seen in Windows due to differences in available tools. Still, you should reach around 6900X performance.
