Hello everyone. Looking for some advice. I'm playing AC Valhalla with about 25 hours logged so far. I'm noticing frame drops happening unexpectedly. It usually stays steady at 60fps, but when I talk to another NPC it drops to around 40 frames. Do I have the issue with my PC or is the game causing it? I think my hardware specs are sufficient, everything is set to Ultra. I'm streaming at 1080P and my PC specs are lower than that. My system includes a Ryzen 5 3600, RTX3070, 16GB DDR4 at 3600MHz. Any suggestions would be great.

You seem to be experiencing issues at 1080p despite using a 3070.

I'm working on the project where I'm assisting Oswald in his village, and I'm consistently dropping frames to around 40s no matter the graphic settings I apply. Tried the lowest and same frames.

Check for thermal concerns or dual-channel RAM setup. Ensure you're using the newest drivers and that your Nvidia preferences are set to "High Performance Nvidia Driver." Navigate to Windows 10 Settings, select Gaming, then Game Mode. Enable it (unless it previously caused issues) and adjust Graphics settings. If games aren't visible, browse to your install folder. Click the game, select it, go to Options, and choose High Performance. This resolved a similar issue before and may help now. If the prompt says let Windows decide, it sometimes tries to save power and that can be frustrating. Let me know how it goes.
