I completed my latest setup yesterday and attempted to activate the XMP profile via BIOS, but after saving and exiting, the system failed to boot. I had to run a BIOS flashback. This time it didn’t work either. My Corsair Dominator Platinum 16x4 runs at 3600MHz without XMP enabled. Could there be a fix? Will higher RAM speeds noticeably impact my gaming performance? Also, is a temperature around 45-50°C typical for a Ryzen 7 7800X3D during idle?

because it's an expo build, but stability isn't guaranteed. That means you'll get a really fast RAM setup since you have four sticks. The CPU motherboard probably won't handle it well, so it should work without enabling expo. A 3600MHz clock speed is decent, and the CPU temperature is normal for an AMD Ryzen 5000.

Have you checked out the 6000MHz option? It’s currently a softcap for Ryzen 7000 and should perform well at those speeds. I’m aware that Zen and Zen+ faced challenges with more than two dimming settings, but newer models should remain stable.

The QLV is merely a typical checklist of RAM that was verified on that specific board.
