I monitor my RAM speed and it causes the PC to restart three times before entering safe mode. Stability appears only at 2133MHz, otherwise I experience random crashes when adjusting speeds between 2133MHz and 2933MHz. Anyone know why this happens with your Ryzen 5 2600 G.Skill Aegis 3200MHz memory setup?
Early Ryzen's memory controllers were reportedly problematic, though a 4x8 setup might not be the main cause. It's unclear whether XMP is enabled or if the speed is set to 2933.
I've attempted both options, yet neither succeeded. It seems the issue isn't necessarily with Ryzen's memory controllers, as others have managed to run at 2933mhz or above via overclocking.
Have you experimented with using only one or two sticks at once to test the situation? It might be challenging, but this could clarify if the problem lies with four sticks.
Increase the voltage to 1.35V. Turning on DOCP could be advantageous as it also fine-tunes timings. Otherwise I’d point the fault at the motherboard. Affordable boards and tricky memory configurations don’t work well together—especially with AMD 1000 and 2000 series that have a low memory frequency limit.
I intended to use it for troubleshooting, but chose to post this thread first to explore alternative options. I’ll attempt two sticks in dual channel now.
