Performance issues with GPU in Unity games are common.
I'm new to posting and seeking assistance, feeling a bit uncertain about the actual issue. I’m fairly comfortable with computers and hardware but haven’t managed to resolve my current problem. Here are the userbenchmark results you shared.
GTX 1080 was purchased from a friend in good condition, yet I’m facing problems mainly with Unity games. These games often crash, especially Unity titles. The GPU works perfectly with non-Unity games, delivering solid FPS across all other titles. VR games run fine as long as they aren’t Unity-based.
I’m somewhat worried about Unity game crashes and GPU performance based on the benchmarks. I’ve closed all unnecessary apps and rerun the tests multiple times, but the outcomes remain similar.
What I’ve tried includes:
- Upgrading the power supply unit
- Reinstalling Windows and BIOS updates
- Increasing fan power on the GPU
- Overclocking CPU and GPU
- Reinstalling games (especially Unity titles to see if crashes occur)
- Capping FPS
- Using a single monitor and exploring other potential fixes with friends, though issues persist.
I haven’t overclocked frequently, always maintained good airflow in my setup, and there’s no dust inside. The GPU temperature stays stable between 30-40°C. I’m starting to consider upgrading the motherboard or getting a new GPU. It’s unclear why the benchmark scores are so low, and I’m curious if Unity games are consistently crashing.
I haven’t tested my old hardware yet but prefer finding a solution before making a full hardware swap.
driver problem?
try using ddu to delete the gpu driver and then reinstall it
