Performance issues occur during overall PC gaming experience
I shouldn<|pad|> a bit. For me, console tuning is way better than PC optimization. In more detail, I attempted to run the same games on PC as on console and noticed tiny micro stutters. It’s tough to put into words—it doesn’t matter how low you set the settings; they still happen. I’ve tested various builds on AMD, Intel, and NVIDIA, but the issue remains consistent. Just to be clear, I’m not losing my mind. Does anyone else see this happening?
I haven't interacted with a console, yet I observed that identical frame rates behave differently across titles on PC. While 60 FPS in RDR2 seems fine, it feels poor in CS2. Could you share your PC specifications and the games that cause these issues?
It's just a matter of testing different configurations. I'm using an MSI laptop with an i5 and 3060 processor. My desktop runs on a 10700 Radeon 6700XT with 3600MT/s and all SSDs. The Brother machine has a 13600K 3060ti with 6000MT/s and solid-state drives. All setups are performing well, but I consistently face the same issues. Lowering the settings to 720p low helps, but still occasional stuttering occurs—especially when loading new areas. I mainly play single-player games, though I'm not sure if they're optimized for console CPU performance. It was especially noticeable with Halo Infinite when it launched. Xbox runs smoothly, but on PC I quickly encounter those tiny frame drops. Playing Firewatch is not too demanding, but random 1% lows still happen. It's odd to me.
It's actually the reverse. Because I began playing on PC, I couldn't ignore all the stutters and frame drops in console games—mostly the same titles as on PC. That's why I sold most of my consoles and don't intend to buy any again. It feels like a placebo effect; consoles often use motion blur, which can hide minor glitches. On PC, you can check frame counters and sometimes notice a drop. Overall, stutters and frame drops occur much less on PC. Even fighting games that claim to run at 60 FPS have drops on consoles.
I found your story interesting, especially with the gaming sessions you described. It seems like you had mixed experiences across platforms. On the console, the game ran smoothly, while PC struggled with stutters and frame drops. Forza Motorsport and Horizon 5 offered great play, but the PC version was less stable compared to Xbox. It’s clear your setup affects performance, and you seem to prefer the console for most games.
