the ram isn't performing at its maximum speed even though the xmp profile is set to 1600. it still functions at 1333 despite both the motherboard and cpu supporting 1600mhz. everything began after i installed my own case before reaching the 1600 setting.

Verify the details in CPU-Z first. Check the displayed numbers there; the task manager might not show them accurately.
