Performance issues after removing and restoring GPU settings
I recently upgraded my system by installing a new NVMe SSD and added the existing one to it. I cloned the old drive onto the new one and reformatted the previous drive for extra space. Now I have a 980 Pro as the primary storage with the operating system, and a 970 Evo Plus as a backup. During the process, I had to remove my GPU several times due to space constraints inside the case. I play Valorant and before rearranging everything I achieved a stable 250 fps without any issues (see specs below). However, after switching drives, my performance dropped to around 150 fps with similar stability. I’ve tried cleaning up drivers, reinstalling them, adjusting GPU settings in the AMD software, using default configurations, and even disabling all driver options, but nothing resolved the problem. It’s frustrating because the hardware appears to be running normally according to UserBenchmark, and I was hoping for a clearer solution. The details are:
- Game: 107%
