I own a M570dd laptop with GTX 1050 and 8GB RAM. It’s running much slower than before, especially when playing Minecraft Bedrock. The lag spikes between 120 to 1 FPS even at low graphics settings. The CPU isn’t throttling, but the RAM isn’t fully utilizing 8GB. Anyone have suggestions on how to improve performance?

Looks like you're running low on VRAM, try reducing the render distance for a boost

The question begins with uncertainty, asking whether a new world starts completely empty.

The 6gb usable indicates the GPU is sharing memory, sometimes a BIOS setting helps balance it but may limit performance. Run memtest and crystal disk to verify your SSD, and review your virtual memory settings—check available disk space.

memtest confirms all virtual memory configurations are active on my 4GB SSD. I have 120GB remaining on the SSD and 500GB on the HDD. There are no BIOS settings for lower IGPU VRAM or HDD, and both SSDs appear to be functioning well. The GPUs seem to have ample RAM—likely in GPU memory rather than dedicated GPU storage. Why is this happening?

Verify your virtual memory configuration, ensure the HDD isn't being utilized, and confirm the SSD is managed by the system. Once the SSD reaches 80% capacity, you'll encounter virtual memory restrictions.

It didn’t change much on the SSD, and it’s far from being full.
