I recently upgraded to a 10700k from my 8600k and noticed FPS drops in some games, like RDR2. Benchmarks online show 1440p with a 3080 and 10700k should yield 70-110 FPS, but I’m averaging 45-80. Many titles run smoothly, yet my new CPU seems to be limiting performance. My RAM is G-Skill Ripjaws at 2400mhz, so upgrading to faster RAM (3600 or 4000mhz) was on my mind. I wasn’t sure if the gains would justify it or if another factor was at play. Any advice would be really helpful.
