I initially saw strong results in benchmarks like Cinebench, but as my computer aged, my scores dropped slightly. I suspect this might be linked to not having a fresh Windows installation with no drivers or software conflicts. I’m curious if my assumptions are correct.

I thought the same thing. It seems the older Windows versions are affecting the performance, especially since I used that CPU with an old SSD. After updating to a fresh Windows installation on a new SSD, the scores improved significantly.
