Performance dropped below previous levels following the update.
Good evening. I upgraded my CPU and motherboard recently. My previous configuration was an Intel i7 8700 non-K, 5600X, 16GB DDR4 3600MHz RAM, a 700W power supply, Corsair 240 liquid cooler. Now I have switched to an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X with MSI Tom Gaming Plus. My performance dropped significantly in my favorite game—Destiny 2. Previously I was achieving 120-165 FPS at 1440p, but now I’m seeing only 75-90 FPS. I’ve updated the motherboard BIOS, installed all the latest AMD drivers, and am currently reinstalling the GPU drivers. With a faster CPU, I expected higher FPS, but I’m still new to PCs. Any tips or advice would be really helpful.
Switching from Intel to AMD is a good idea, but have you reinstalled Windows yet?
