You're noticing a noticeable improvement in frame rate when using DLSS at 1080p. This is because DLSS leverages AI to enhance image quality and performance, allowing the GPU to render frames more efficiently. As a result, you experience smoother gameplay and higher FPS without needing to upgrade your hardware.
I'm using 1080p with a 2600 and 5700xt. It feels like I'm stuck at 60fps, even though the logs show it should drop. There were a few crashes this morning, but I thought it was my 4.2ghz OC on the 2600. After lowering it back to 4.0, I played for about eight hours straight at 60fps without any problems. I didn't change any graphics settings except the default ultra/high that auto selected on startup. I'm puzzled why newer, more powerful hardware seems to cause issues for so many people.
Numerous individuals maintain elevated expectations and heightened awareness of matters, including myself. It's a disadvantage, not an advantage.
The performance fell short with my upgraded rig, despite expecting the 3060ti to work well. Ray Tracing proved problematic, leading me to join the green team. I aimed for a 3080 but it wasn’t possible. I was lucky to secure a Founders Edition 3060ti at RRP—definitely not going to pay the inflated prices for a 3080. Even when in stock, retailers are charging unreasonable amounts, and bots are snatching them up immediately. I’m hoping patches will improve things; Witcher 3 reached 1.32, so more updates are likely. The biggest frustration is seeing my Trap V’s anatomy distorted in the mirror. I’m eager to see bug fix notes for that in an upcoming patch.
