Numerous factors could be at play here. It might be due to thermal throttling, or it could simply be because the CPU is handling many tasks at once and external conditions demand processing power.

It's typical for most MMOs to require significant CPU power because they aren't heavily reliant on the GPU. You may notice lower frame rates when many players are active.
