Hello, I understand you're seeking advice on a performance issue with your 3800XT. The single-thread speed has dropped significantly despite recent updates to the BIOS and Windows. There might be underlying hardware or driver problems. Consider checking for firmware updates, running diagnostics, or testing with different drivers. Let me know if you'd like more guidance!

Really, my control center would completely destroy that check frequency together with other factors such as temperatures and voltages

Follow the standard troubleshooting process again, even if you've tried it before. Reset the CMOS, reinsert the CPU, update the BIOS, adjust the stock clocks manually, etc. If these steps don’t help, consider reinstalling Windows since sometimes it behaves oddly. Side note, what are your RAM modules and their speed?

Check power settings for minimum and maximum processor states. Look under power plan options to see the recommended CPU usage ranges.

Well, cb23 was 1011 in single core. The problem turned up, as the system shuts down using 90% of core 1. I attempted a clean boot, but got locked out because the PIN wasn't available (missing service). Had to reinstall Windows. Fixed it. It's been quite a struggle.

If you're curious, Store MI might be the cause. It showed up when I reinstalled the software.
