it's typical for your cpu to reach around 55-60ºc when idle. that temperature range is normal and indicates proper operation.

You can enhance your cooler similarly, I upgraded mine to a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO (original model). My overclocked 2600 runs smoothly at ambient temps, staying around 55°C. It climbs to 60°C during full load. The case features strong airflow with a fine mesh front and Phanteks PH-F140SP 140MM fans.

I cleaned the cooler fan, replaced the switch thermal paste, and lowered it to 40. However, I think switching the cooler might improve its cooling performance.
