Hi, for a clean installation of Windows 8.1, you should select the desired installation drive when prompted. When you click "new," it will automatically create partitions from one drive. This step isn't strictly necessary if you simply format the selected drive as NTFS and then install the OS. Follow the guide accordingly.

Sure, let me clarify. If you need to reset everything on your HDD or SSD, formatting and installing is the way to go. For better organization, you can keep your games, photos, or videos in a separate partition so they’re easier to locate. Then, create a new partition as needed.
