Hey there, after Windows 10 launched I did a free upgrade, but I’m thinking about a clean install now. My issue is I’m not sure how to do it. On Windows 7 I used a disk, but I don’t have one for Windows 10, so I know I need a USB drive or HDD with a 500GB SSD. Now my question is, can I copy my Steam games onto the hard drive and still use it as the installer?

Unless you already own a Windows 10 copy, consider starting with a clean Windows 7 setup, then moving to Windows 10 once you have the necessary key. This approach should work similarly and you can retain an old version if needed.

You have the file saved locally without needing a disk, and it seems the installation doesn’t require a key. The manual suggests it recognizes your hardware ownership automatically.

I hope I can assist you, though I’m unable to. Searching on Google might be the best option.
