I hadn't seen a games showcase until a few months back. My closet held a mix of random objects that eventually took on a gaming vibe. While browsing storage containers, I discovered vintage game pieces and decided to combine them with my closet items for a more appealing display. I chose some favorites and assembled a special shrine within the space. Of course, it's not easily visible since it's stored in a closet, but I see it regularly. Recently, I added a new piece—a sealed copy of the original Command & Conquer: Red Alert box release I found on eBay. The packaging is in good shape, though the top and bottom show slight warping from years of compression. I’m considering trimming the shrink wrap to ease the box’s tension, but I’d prefer to keep it sealed. This marks my first gaming display built from items I already owned. Now, this is the second version of my shrine: I’m thinking about adding my old NES, SNES, and Genesis consoles, though space is limited and those older systems look faded. The Chrono Trigger cartridge from the first build deserves a place here, but it’s now in another room with my updated SNES setup.

I could include Sim City 2000 if I manage to add another box. The cover is a little worn, but I believe it might be doable by softening the back so it becomes flexible. Then place a heavy object on top while the cover lies flat on a surface, and let it dry. After that, I could try joining the torn corner of the box.
