I've adjusted the settings to 4Ghz with auto mode, yet I haven't seen any noticeable improvement in both lab and field tests.

I would configure identical speeds for both CCXs because Windows tends to favor one CPU core over the other. If you ignore this setting, it might allocate demanding tasks to the weaker processor.

It seems AMD focuses on selecting the top available cores first. ccx0 isn't concerned with 4.2Ghz at 1.2 volts or anything like that.
