I heard about PepperMint OS on the web and decided to try it out. After downloading, I burned it onto a flash drive and started it. It showed an error saying "Kernel is missing. Load it first" or something similar. I’ve never done anything like this before, so I’m not sure what to do. Anyone can help?

Happy Holidays! Did you follow the download steps on the peppermintos website? Also, how did you verify the ISO before burning it to the USB drive? Checking the checksum (MD5, SHA256, etc.) is a good idea. Transferring it to a USB stick with Windows isn't straightforward. Unetbootin didn't work well in tests. I see from your earlier post that you're trying to run Linux on a Fujitsu Lifebook—this could cause issues. Many users have reported similar problems with those devices.

The AH models are capable of running in cloudready mode. More sophisticated Lifebook versions should also support Linux distributions like Lubuntu or Peppermint. Therefore, Peppermint would be a suitable option if it functions. As mentioned by @Gorilla Warfare, the Etcher tool is widely used for installing ISO files onto USB drives. Alternatively, you might consider using the dd command.
