And this connects to how these platforms impact smaller developers. You might not face issues, but these services mirror the situation with inexpensive versions of locally crafted items. You can either pay a bit more to back the original creator or opt for the cheaper alternative.

I don’t anticipate anyone spending over €50 on a game anywhere. And regional pricing does exist. That’s why Steam keys are restricted by region.

When consumer goods are affordable, wages are low and living costs high? Not really. Central Europe remains ideal for those looking to relocate.

Feeling the weight of association.
Not all items sold on G2A are illicit or stolen, yet because some are, the entire collection has been tainted.
I’ve purchased from G2A before, I’ve gone through steam sales, and I still don’t care.
It’s not a socially acceptable claim, but it’s reality.
Today’s games rarely command their full price; some are affordable during sales on platforms like G2A or Steam, while others are better suited for testing—especially if they’re buggy, niche, or simply not aligned with your preferences. Even EA titles don’t change the fact that their value is often minimal.
The main point remains: G2A has been associated with negative labels.
If you mind those tags, stop relying on them. If not, keep going.

In America, staying in affordable areas can cost between $300 to $600 each month, especially when shared among multiple people. That's really affordable. Not everyone earns low wages, though. In New York, the minimum wage is $15 per hour, which equals about $600 a week for 40 hours of work. After taxes and other expenses, it could be around $2400 a month.

G2A is one company. It's not guilt by association when the company itself is at fault.
This has nothing to do with poltical correctness.
If games are not worth full price to you, wait for a sale. Buying a stolen key on G2A is absolutely not the same as buying a legit copy in a Steam sale, or some other legit service like CDKeys.com. And as various indie developers have pointed out, even pirating it is a better option than buying on G2A.
If you still can't get yourself to do that, then just don't play that game.
