Hi everyone,
Recently I was playing Rainbow Six with my girlfriend and she mentioned that people were always teleporting in every game. She said she was "used to it" but it still bothered her. When I tried to check on her computer, I noticed the teleportation was happening just like if there were 500 pings.
But the issue isn’t with the connection—I even tried sharing my 5G link with her laptop, which still had 10 pings, yet the problem persisted. We use the same computer, an Asus Rog Stryx with an RTX 3070 and an AMD Ryzen 7 5000 series, and I’m not experiencing any issues myself. So it doesn’t seem to be a performance problem.
I considered driver problems and updated her graphics and connection drivers without success.
The problem only appears when playing online, whereas she has no networking issues during casual play. I don’t think the network card is the cause.
I really don’t have another idea to resolve it.
Thanks for your help,
Louis Veran

Could the packet buffer be large, ready to grow until it can transmit in groups? This feature helps maximize bandwidth but introduces significant delay during gameplay. Are you connected via Wi-Fi or a wired connection?

Hello, please accept my apologies.
The connection is available via Wi-Fi, but there isn't an Ethernet port close by.

The laptop is equipped with the Mediatek MT7921 Wi-Fi module, and searches related to latency spikes have been found (your teleporting).

Hi again,
I've tried the instructions you gave me. I followed the steps and removed the drivers from nework devices to reinstall them.
I was hoping it would fix the problem, but unfortunately it didn't :/
I believe this issue might be connected to hardware.
