Hey, I recently upgraded my GPU a few days back, but my excitement faded quickly after experiencing how poorly my PC performs in games. My previous GPU was holding up well, while this new one is struggling.

I switched from the old AMD R7 360 to the Sapphire AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT. I did a fresh install of Windows and updated all my drivers right away using the AMD Adrenaline app.

Here’s what I have set up:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 (not overclocked)
- GPU: Sapphire AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT
- PSU: Gigabyte 650w
- Motherboard: Aorus B450 ELite v2
- RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury 2400MHz CL15 DDR4 2x8GB

Based on my assumptions, it shouldn’t be a major bottleneck issue. I disabled Gamebar Presence, but it didn’t make much difference.

Feel free to ask any questions!

I recently changed to Gen 3 PCIE from Auto in BIOS but it didn't make a difference unfortunately.

When upgrading to a brand new GPU, consider other system specifications as this represents a significant increase. Have you tried using DDU to uninstall all drivers prior to installing the new GPU? Also, could the CPU be limiting the performance of the GPU and slowing it down?

I replaced all the old drivers right away before installing the new ones. I’ve also checked some forums online, and while some people mention a bottleneck, most don’t think it’s that severe with my system, though you can never be sure.

Did you right-click your Windows desktop, then navigate to display settings and adjust your monitor configuration? Search for Advanced Display Settings. Are there any display (resolution) options on your monitor to set up your new GPU? Just in case I sometimes overlook the need for these details and the monitor requires some tweaking.
