I've attempted to clean the GPU PCI-e port, reinserted the CPU, verified the pins, moved my GPU to another machine (it works fine there), reset and updated the BIOS, plus tried various PCIe version options and similar settings.

This chip supports only Gen3, but you'll need Rocket Lake for Gen4. Fortunately, that doesn't affect your 3080 at all.

I understand, my GPU needs to operate on PCIe x16 3.0, not x4 3.0.

I don’t have another GPU to try on this motherboard, though I’ve purchased a new one that should arrive by Monday. If it’s not the GPU and the socket looks fine, it might be the CPU or possibly the PCI-E connector is faulty... I’m really hoping for a solution soon.
