I currently use a poor Wi-Fi USB adapter on my PC which results in slow speeds and high ping. I mainly play games, so I need reliable performance. Connecting to the LAN across two rooms is challenging, which makes me want stable options. Both TP Link models you mentioned are 2.4GHz compatible and priced similarly in my country. Availability is important here, so I’d appreciate guidance on which one to choose.

The USB I used last month was from China and wasn't a well-known brand. By connecting my phone through USB on the same Wi-Fi network, I'm seeing about ten times faster speeds. I believe both options will perform better than that USB adapter.

The key to high gain in a WiFi adapter comes from its antennas, and with a PCIe-based model you get full flexibility to select any antenna design and adjust the gain precisely. I also think PCIe devices offer superior amplifiers since they aren't constrained by USB current limits.

Other cards perform more efficiently in cooling. I remember hearing about the AC chipset getting quite warm. That’s why USB models often face overheating problems.
