PCIe port exhibits unusual actions
Hello, a few months back my PC froze at the VGA light during startup (no hardware changes), but after a hard restart it booted. In the following days, the number of restarts needed to get it running increased and one day it completely stopped no matter how many times I tried. I moved the GPU to a different PCIe slot and it functioned properly. After a month I replaced my PSU and put the GPU back in the first slot, but it only worked briefly before failing again. The issue keeps recurring, so I switched the GPU to the second slot once more. I was wondering why it initially works but then stops—if it’s faulty shouldn’t it just stop working entirely? Also, my motherboard model is B360-F Strix, which means the second PCIe slot operates at x4 speed.
