Hello. Connecting a PCIe-to-M.2 NVMe converter should maintain the same speed as the M.2 slot. Regarding RAID setup for SSDs, let me know if you need guidance on that.

M.2 serves merely as a connector. Regardless of the interface type, there’s no distinction here. The key factor could be the PCIe version; for instance, on B550 boards the lanes are PCIe 3.0, limiting NVMe bridges to that speed in the second x16 slot. Conversely, some M.2 slots connect directly to CPU lanes offering PCIe 4.0. That’s a rare situation. With another chipset board, you’ll consistently find either PCIe 3.0 or PCIe 4.0.

so here is the thing i have B450 motherboard which has 1 M.2 slot , i want to add 2 M.@ with RAID 0
