Hi, I bought a 6600 XT yesterday and installed everything. Everything worked fine until I chose to shut down the PC. When I pressed the shutdown button, sleep, or the power switch, it would turn back on shortly afterward. I’ve looked into common fixes from YouTube and search results. Any suggestions would be appreciated! System details: PSU rm650 (Corsair Gold), motherboard gigabyte Z590, CPU i5 11600K, GPU RX 6600 XT, OS Windows 10 Home. The issue started after installing the graphics card.

Maybe the problem lies in the wiring for the power switch on the system board or the switch itself. Check if it's oriented correctly.

The issue is that I've been using this computer without a GPU since June and haven't encountered any problems.

Adjust the S3/S5 power settings in your BIOS. This is the first time you're adding a separate GPU, so your ASPM needs to be updated from its standard configuration.

I’m not familiar with bios, and I couldn’t locate any information on power states there.

In the power management section, set the power button to shut down the system.

The GPU issue isn't related to the power switch or pin connections. The board gets commands from the power switch for turning on/off, sleep modes, etc. The power switch wiring might be loose, misplaced, reversed, or damaged, leading to unexpected behavior.

Unplug and reinsert the chassis power button connections. It’s possible something slipped out while installing the GPU. This step helps confirm everything is secure.

It should appear in the BIOS under Settings/Power Platform. Refer to your motherboard manual as well. Make sure to verify your BIOS configuration for this issue.
