Hi, I'm trying to get my GA-Z270-HD3 motherboard working with an i7 7700. When I power it on, it keeps showing debug lights like CPU-DRAM-VGA-CPU and then turns off. Sometimes the boot light also cycles through. I've tried swapping RAM, resetting CMOS, re-seating the power supply, and reseating the CPU. The fans spin when it powers up. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

You're limited because most solutions have already been tested. If it doesn't work with just a single stick of RAM and no graphics card, you'll need to replace parts to diagnose the problem. I'd consider switching out the power supply and motherboard. This might point to a PSU issue, but it could be something else entirely.

I tested connecting another computer using the same power supply, which suggests the issue isn't with the PSU but likely the motherboard itself.

can you please check the number of standoffs to the number off screws you put in to hold your motherboard to the case its a easy mistake to make and very hard to spot. If you have one to many standoffs on the pc case this can short the motherboard to the case and cause many many issues. Just count to be safe.

You understand the plan, so look for a chance to apply it. Keep testing beyond the chassis to avoid losing time.

It's tough to identify the issue on an open chassis. Is there a specific problem you're encountering?
