Hello,

Here are the details:
Hardware: Asus TUFx570 plus, 3600x CPU, Noctua D14 cooler, G Skill Rrident Z 3600 with 16GB RAM, Sapphire 5700xt GPU, Intel 660 1T NVME SSD, Corsair RMi 650w power supply.

Issue: Frequent random restarts after reinstalling Windows. Occurred last week; since then the PC restarts multiple times daily during gaming, web browsing, or YouTube watching. No other software issues reported.

Recent attempts:
- Reinstalled Windows multiple times.
- After each attempt, PC restarted several times during installation.
- After 6 tries without forcing a restart, only basic drivers and network updates worked.
- RAM tested with MemTest86 – no errors (4 full runs).
- CPU tested with Cinebench and Intel BurnTest – stable temperatures, no overheating.
- GPU checked via FurMark and Unigine – temperatures 60-70°C, hotspot reached once, no issues.
- M.2 drive scanned and command prompt test passed – no problems.

After these tests and a fresh install, I’m unsure where the restarts are coming from. No crash dumps or minidumps were created; only event logs recorded.

Current temporary solution: Changed advanced settings/recovery options to disable automatic restart, then turned off the BIOS settings. The PC became more stable (2 crashes since changes), but I still don’t think this fully resolves the problem.

Any suggestions for further steps or fixes?

Thanks a lot!

Hello there! Just a note about the power supply: it's a Corsair RMi 650w 80 gold. You may wish to look for a more stable 750W option and check if the problem continues.

Hello,
The power supply was from late 2019. I used it for about six months before placing it inside a cardboard case. Then in late 2023 I started using it again so it shouldn't have accumulated much wear. It still has the warranty, which is ten years. The whole PC was assembled in late 2019.
I marked it with a furmark and ran an Intel burn test for 20 minutes to stress-test the CPU, GPU, and PSU, but it didn’t crash.
I also used a multimeter to check the voltages from the 24-pin connector, following the guidelines on the Corsair website. The readings were within the acceptable range for my PSU.
I plan to replace the PSU just to rule out this component.
Thanks for your help.

Hello, after swapping the CPU things seem to work better. The stuttering issue is still there, but at least random crashes and reboots have stopped. Any suggestions?
