Have you attempted to remove Windows updates? Keeping chipset drivers current is crucial for staying synchronized with Windows updates. sfc /scannow helps fix damaged or missing system files; avoid fixing anything if it detects issues. Open Command Prompt in Troubleshooting mode and ensure Fastboot and hibernation features are disabled.

I attempted it after you mentioned it, but it didn’t seem to resolve anything. The Servicing Stack couldn’t be uninstalled, and the security update also failed. Make sure the chipset driver is current. I also tried disconnecting it completely. The event log shows many errors before, but 77 in the last hour when I restarted several times.

Exhausted and unsuccessful: Restarting the BIOS back to default Windows settings via another SSD (function works but it's just another Windows install that powers off properly) sfc/scannow changing to S4+S5 and enabling sleep mode in the BIOS. Note: It powers off after more than 5 minutes, yet when I put it to sleep or hibernation it doesn’t awaken as expected, and all open programs close, while Wallpaper Engine reports a crash.

It seems the system resolved the issue on its own, though I’m curious about the details behind it.

One of the tasks you completed resolved the issue. Sometimes it requires time before the adjustments become active.
