Hello everyone, I recently upgraded my PC's CPU and GPU yesterday. The changes included the CPU (Asus Prime X570 Pro → R9 3900X), GPU (Rx 590 → RTX 3060), SSD (Samsung 2TB PM9A1), HDD (Hitachi 2TB SATA3), and a warning during the first boot about encryption keys or similar issues. I was given a choice: continue with the update or stop. Since I had no prior experience with encryption, BitLocker, Secure Boot, or anything similar, I went ahead with the upgrade. Windows started normally, and I managed to work for several hours despite reboots and power cycles. At the end of the day, I left the PC on.
The next morning, the computer crashed—black screen, no remote access possible. The LED indicators still worked as usual (no rainbow effect). I performed a hard reboot and entered the BIOS, where I noticed both drives appeared in the boot list. However, when trying to select another bootable device, I received an error saying "select another bootable device." The HDD is a data drive, and I assumed it was fine. I tried reinstalling Windows, but the installer blocked partition deletion on the SSD. After removing the SSD and connecting it via USB to a Mac, Disk Utility also refused to erase it.
I’m stuck. I can’t boot Windows or wipe the SSD to start over. Anyone have any advice? This situation is really confusing. I didn’t enable encryption or similar features, yet I’m facing these problems. Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks I'll try your procedure if I cannot find a way to repair my system. For now I can tell you this: - there is no error message in the Windows installer when I try to delete a partition. It's just that the option is greyed out. I also tried "automatic" windows boot repair from the installer but it reported that it couldn't solve the problem.
Consider adding this information to your bios settings. You may need to check your bios for the correct location or consult the online manual for step 2 instructions. Adjust the SSD configuration if your bios doesn’t show it. The SATA controller links your motherboard to the hard drive. If it isn’t detected, switch the controller mode. BIOS interfaces vary by brand, so search for comparable options in your manufacturer’s settings. To set up the SATA controller: Restart your PC and open the BIOS using the correct key. Go to Storage Options > Serial ATA > SATA Configuration or a similar section. Choose the IDE Compatibility Mode. Save your changes and restart. Your system should now identify the SSD, ready for use with Windows 10.
Your SSD uses NVMe, not SATA. Your SATA controller is configured as AHCI, but the HDD is still detected and recognized even though it isn't listed in the boot menu. The BIOS shows the NVMe option, yet no drives appear in the boot settings. When you plug in a USB drive, it shows up as an available device in the boot options.
