To simplify things, I recently installed Rust on a new PC built in January. I’m seeing an average of 75 fps with the potato settings, which seems unusual given my current setup. If anyone can identify any issues with my component choices, please let me know—I have only a vague understanding of what might be wrong. I’m playing at 1080p and live in the U.S. Thanks.

They mentioned splitting it using two 8gb drives, thanks for confirming it once more

Low configurations put more strain on the CPU since it has greater opportunity to transmit instructions to the GPU. In this scenario, memory performance becomes crucial. Increasing the settings would reduce the CPU's workload significantly, making the difference between single and dual-channel usage irrelevant.

If you had the same issue and still couldn't understand, thank you for the clear responses!

It's a bit of a misstatement. The CPU will handle the same tasks no matter what game settings are chosen, unless those settings impact CPU performance (like physics, AI, and draw distance). Raising graphics settings just forces the GPU to work harder, which often becomes the bottleneck instead of the CPU.
But generally yes. Lower graphics settings mean less strain on the system's CPU, latency, and bandwidth limits.
