I'm a big Halo enthusiast, having played all the games except Spartan Assault. I really enjoyed every title, though Halo 4 didn't impress me. The campaign felt dull and the multiplayer was set up like a COD experience. Halo Wars leans more into the original Halo style than the game itself. I don't recall much about Halo 4 except the ending, but I remember Halo: CE, 2, 3, Reach, ODST, and Wars—each mission in detail. I still recall the escape routes in Halo 2 and 3’s campaign and the specific instructions for the rings with the IWHBYD skull. There were some button quirks and jump spots in those games. Halo 4 didn’t deliver anything special; it just continued Chief’s story with basic multiplayer. That's why I'm hoping the remake of Halo 2 will work better, or at least Halo 3. I don't expect much from Halo 5 since 343 clearly showed their lack of direction with the series.
I don't believe we should dismiss 343 just yet. Halo 4 was their debut title. Halo 5 will really reveal whether they're on the right track. Continuous learning and adaptation are essential for success, especially in game development. I'm still leaning toward a more cautious perspective at the moment.
It seems like you're questioning the viability of this idea, comparing it to a lot of HL3 theories. It sounds like it's a strong contender but not without challenges. The core concept appears to be an XB franchise at its foundation, similar to how ARMA works on consoles.
It seems like the experience was pretty disappointing overall. The campaign felt dull, the missions were limited, and the multiplayer didn’t live up to expectations. It looks like many players are losing interest. I’m hoping the upcoming Halo 2 Anniversary will bring some fresh energy back to the community.
