Furmark occasionally freezes after ten minutes, abruptly terminating as if a reset button was pressed. This behavior may be related to the missing four-pin CPU power plug on the Thermaltake PSU. The system utilizes an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti XC ULTRA GAMING graphics card, Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 3000 MHz DDR4 RAM, and a Thermaltake Smart 500W 80+ White Certified PSU. The Corsair iCUE 220T RGB Airflow Tempered Glass Mid-Tower Smart Case is also used. Testing with games is delayed until tomorrow morning due to download speed limitations.

I utilized a PSU from my previous build, and Thermaltake did not appear to be a low-quality brand; calculations indicate a requirement of 400W, while the PSU is rated for 500W. Wattage is not the sole determining factor, or do manufacturers consistently misrepresent wattage specifications?

ThermalTake PSUs are generally low-end, and those that aren’t are frequently overpriced relative to competing products. A PSU’s quality should not be determined solely by its brand name.

From a price-to-performance standpoint, it isn’t optimal. Better quality units exist at approximately the same price.
