PC struggles and barely functions until I disconnect it and plug in the SSD again
This problem has been ongoing for several years, but it used to occur rarely. Now it happens almost every week, sometimes even more often. My PC functioned well for a long time until, a few years ago, it would lag or crash after turning on or using it for a while. It would display a blue screen, then I’d power it off and back on, only to see it report it couldn’t find a bootable drive. After leaving it off for a couple of hours and trying again, Windows would launch successfully. However, the issue kept getting worse until I reinstalled Windows, which temporarily resolved it for about three to four months before it returned. I’ve reinstalled several times now and decided to replace the SSD with a new one. Recently, the problem has intensified. It no longer triggers blue screens, but everything starts intermittently, programs crash, and restarting doesn’t help—it just shows the same boot error message. I discovered that unplugging and replugging the SSD, whether on the same port or a different one, seemed to fix it for a week or so. Any suggestions?
