Hi everyone:
my pc occasionally shuts off abruptly during gaming. Then it keeps turning on and off multiple times, with a light flickering and a slight clicking sound. This goes on until I disconnect all the USB connections and power it off using the back button. After a few seconds, it restarts.
is it a PSU issue? should i replace it or is there any advice?
Below are my specs for reference:
PSU: CORSAIR RM850 CP-9020235-NA 850 W ATX 80 PLUS GOLD
CPU: Intel Core i5-12600K
GPU: Nvidia RTX 3080-Ti
SSD: Samsung 980 Pro NVMe PCIe M.2 1TB
SSD: Corsair Force LE200 SSD 120GB
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 500GB
RAM: Corsair K32GX5M2B5200C40 2x16GB
MBD: MSI PRO Z690-A (MS-7D25)
Thanks
How many years old is your RM 850?
What BIOS version is currently installed on the motherboard?
Have you completed four full Memtest86 runs to rule out memory issues as the cause?
Did you perform any GPU stress tests, such as Furmark or other utilities, to check for stability under heavy load?
I purchased the RM 850 back in July-22 from Newegg. I haven’t run a memory test yet, but I plan to. The GPU stress test was completed without issues; attached results are included. I just observed something now: whenever I plug my iPhone to charge using the front USBC, the PC shuts down after a few minutes. Is this connected? Thanks for your response.
It depends. Does your issue occur solely when the iPhone is connected to power or does it also happen without a connection? Do you encounter this problem with other USB-charging devices? For Memtest, I can share the detailed steps for making bootable media and the required test conditions if you're interested.
I completed the test without any issues, see the results here.

I didn’t connect any USBs on the front side yesterday, everything is working fine so far with no crashes.
What do you think about the problem, and would you suggest buying a new PSU?
Thank you. I'll examine the wiring and drivers and then provide an update. So far, on the second day, there have been no problems during the ultra sessions in play sessions—I didn't encounter any issues. I didn't use the front IO.
