Hi everyone,

I’m dealing with an unusual issue right now. Essentially, I added a negative offset of -5 on all cores initially, intending to optimize later. For roughly four days, the system ran smoothly, but then it abruptly shut down. When I powered it back on, everything came back to life, though the DRAM indicator remained lit and my peripherals failed to respond.

I’ve tried several steps so far:
• Re-seating the CPU
• Re-seating the RAM
• Inspecting if the pump and radiator were too tight
• Testing with a single stick of RAM in each slot
• Resetting the CMOS
• Updating the BIOS to an older version
• Checking for bent pins on the CPU
• Examining cables from the PSU to the motherboard

It’s possible I overlooked something because I tried so many things. I brought the PC to a repair shop, where they found:
• My RAM is installed on a different motherboard.
• My CPU is also on another board.
• There are mismatches between the RAM and CPU postings on my own board.
They ran OCCT and detected errors in the Linpack test for the CPU, recommending I return it. However, when I returned home, I borrowed a different RAM stick from a friend, and it functioned correctly.

Now I’m puzzled because:
• My RAM works fine on my friend’s motherboard and passed MemTest86 without issues.
• My CPU also passed OCCT with Linpack errors-free.
I’m really stuck and would appreciate any suggestions or advice. Your help means a lot!

My specs:
• Case: Corsair iCue 5000X RGB
• Motherboard: MSI MAG X570 TOMAHAWK WIFI
• Video Card: Palit GeForce RTX 3090 GamingPro 24 GB
• CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5950x
• CPU Cooler: Cooler Master MasterLiquid Lite 240, 2x120 mm
• RAM: Corsair VENGEANCE RGB PRO DDR4 32 GB (2x16 GB) 3600 MHz
• Power Supply: Cooler Master MWE 850 Gold V2
