PC stops functioning upon launching games, initializing or random sequences.
I'm facing a clear issue with my new PC. It's the first one I assembled myself and functioned well for about two years. Recently, it starts to shut down when launching a game. Once the game begins, after a couple of minutes, the whole system cuts off abruptly—like unplugging it. When I power it back on, the same happens during Windows startup. If I restart again, it displays the Windows recovery screen. This problem occurs even when I'm not playing games, such as while watching a movie or browsing the web. I suspect the power supply unit might be the culprit, possibly not delivering enough power to the GPU. I've updated all my drivers recently, so that shouldn't be the cause. Temperatures seem normal, so I'm hoping someone can assist with troubleshooting or share similar experiences. Ryzen and Corsair have been causing issues recently... Many users are facing crashes. The PSU might be under strain for a 2070 Super. Possible power spikes could be causing shutdowns. GamersNexus shared a helpful YouTube video on the topic. Updated June 28, 2022 by An0maly_76 Added more details
I'll look into the GamersNexus video. But I'm puzzled about why my PSU is failing now, especially since it performed well in the past.
