Pc stopped right when it began up.
Hey, I completed a PC build and after powering it on it ran for roughly 20 to 30 seconds. Then the PSU fan stopped spinning and just after the PC shut down and restarted again. The PSU is rated at 650 watts, which should be sufficient. A build wattage calculator showed 437 watts for my configuration. When I tried using a spare PSU with 500 watts, the issue was eliminated. Also, swapping out the GPU with a spare didn’t fix the problem. I reconnected every cable but still faced the same issue.
I can stabilize it if I use only one RAM stick in the first slot without it shutting down, but it still doesn’t reach full performance. The same happens when the CPU cable is disconnected. At this point, the most likely culprits are the MOBO or the CPU itself. The MOBO came out of the box new, but the CPU has been stored for a while. All pins looked intact and weren’t bent.
I’m not sure if overheating is the main issue, but I don’t think that’s it. Do you have any suggestions about what might be wrong with my build? Thanks for any help! 😀

Are you certain this is not a B450 chipset board?
What RAM slots are available for installing memory?
How recent is your power supply unit?
It seems there was a typo with the chipset, it should be a B450 model. The RAM was placed in the first and third slots initially, but only one was in the first slot, which helped it run stably without shutdowns, though no output was observed. The slots are labeled A1, A2, B1, and B2, so they were correctly positioned in A1 and B1. The 650W power supply is quite outdated, likely 2-3 years old, while the 500W model is only a few months old.
I tried that again but the issue persisted. Earlier, I built a PC using the same motherboard and installed 3200Mhz RAM in the A1 and B1 slots. Even though the RAM only supported around 2GHz, it still booted fine. But now I understand why I couldn't achieve 3200Mhz with A1 and B1 slots back then. The boot problem still exists.
