I'm switching from a 2x4GB DDR4 2666 RAM setup on a HyperX unit to a new Ballistix configuration with 2x8GB at 3200MHz. No matter what I do, the system won't recognize it or update properly. I've checked everything so far: RAM is compatible, BIOS updated, CMOS cleared, tested both sticks and one stick at a time, tried different slots, and even reinstalled the old RAM. I'm aware both modules might be faulty, but the chance is slim. What else should I try?

Consider replacing the PSU if you have an alternative. The problem could be unrelated to RAM.

I recently swapped in a different power supply (Corsair TX550M gold) about two months ago, and it’s functioning well. It seems the issue isn’t with this new unit. Also, I don’t have another one on hand to test.

If you've made every adjustment concerning the RAM, it's time to begin diagnosing the issue. You've already tried a lot, but it's tough to identify the problem right now.

Extract the power, remove the battery, and connect the clear CMOS jumper overnight. If the board fails to update the old memory, it’s likely the board or CPU has stopped working.

Start by booting with just one RAM module at a time. If you manage to recover, run Memtest on each module individually. I experienced this once and discovered one was faulty. Ideally, all modules should show no errors; any issues suggest a problem with those specific sticks.

On the official site, I can verify compatibility now, though I believe the list was taken out. The crucial page confirms full support.

It uses the previous memory and also boots up normally. I’ll attempt to keep the CMOS jumper on at 2-3 throughout the night and check. I assumed a single reboot with the jumper removed would suffice.

It doesn't function properly even when using just one stick at a time.
