A new PC is assembled and functions perfectly from the first boot, with no crashes or errors, stable temperatures, and good performance. However, when shutting down or sleeping through Windows, it fails to restart after a power cycle. The power button and motherboard power switch remain inactive, and the RGB lighting stays on despite being disabled. Disabling the power supply powers it up every time without issues, and it also restarts smoothly. I’ve tried various fixes—different SSDs, fresh OS installs, RAM swaps, unplugging components, adjusting BIOS—but nothing resolves the problem. I’m considering whether the issue lies in the power supply or a faulty motherboard, and whether any settings need adjustment to resolve it. The system runs Windows 11 on an Asus Prime X670e Pro with a 64GB TRIDENT Z DDR5 7950X3D chipset.

Have you checked for updates on your bios? You mentioned making changes, but if you performed a full update to the newest version. Edit: https://www.asus.com/motherboards-compon...E-PRO-WIFI

Sure, I noticed you mentioned it a few times. It seems there are ongoing concerns about the system's security. You're right about the A5 model—its BIOS updates can be risky at the moment.

Did you verify the AMD chipset drivers release for your CPU, not the mainboard? The link provided points to AMD’s support page, but according to JayZtwocents, you may need to reinstall Windows if it isn’t installed correctly. This advice came earlier this summer, and he mentioned it in a video.
