Hey everyone, I'm dealing with a problem using the new motherboard. I replaced my Asus B650 with a Gigabyte X670 Elite AX. All other components remain unchanged—7800X3D, 32GB Trident Z5 Neo, 7900XTX, 750W EVGA GQ. Whenever I try to boot, it post, jumps into BIOS, and even got Win11 installed. The strange thing is that the DRAM LED stays lit and it doesn’t boot right away. After about 30 seconds it works and the LED fades. But when I restart during the installation of Win11, the DRAM reappears and stays on. It’s frustrating because I can’t fix it without shutting it down, reseating the RAM, or swapping out a stick. Anyone know what’s going on? I’d guess the board might be faulty since the same setup with a different motherboard worked fine before. Or maybe the RAM isn’t compatible? That seems unlikely though.
Start by disabling any overclocks (like AMD EXPO) if available. Reinstall the BIOS. Then test the separate machine using a flash drive with Memtest86+ or another Windows-based tool like prime95 or y-cruncher. If errors appear, it indicates a problem with the board, CPU, or RAM.
