PC starts up for a brief moment before powering down.
CPU: i5-8400
Motherboard: Asus B365-F
Power Supply: Cooler Master Platinum 1200V
RAM: Viper 3600mhz 2 x 8GB DDR4
I recently swapped my motherboard to an Asus and the PC won't start.
Tried resetting CMOS but had no success. I've observed that booting works without the CPU (red lamp appears), yet inserting the CPU doesn't trigger the red light, but the system still fails to power on.
I also moved the RAM sticks around without success. Checked the CPU and found a missing pin—could this be the issue?
I've shared a photo showing the damaged pin location:

Also, is there any chance the socket itself is faulty?
If I follow this LGA 1151 pinout accurately, it's just one of several Vcc pins, so omitting one shouldn't cause issues. The socket condition might be the real issue, or the CPU could be faulty. Do you have another LGA1151 motherboard and CPU set available for testing?
