Hello everyone, I'm really struggling here and thought I should share my situation. A few weeks back, my girlfriend's self-built PC encountered a problem where it wouldn't boot with the GPU error light on. At first, I assumed the GPU was the problem, so I swapped it with mine, but the issue persisted. I also tried using spare parts like the PSU and CPU, but nothing changed. Eventually, I rebuilt the original system out of frustration and it worked fine for a while. Then the GPU driver kept failing to start, so I did a clean install using DDU, which fixed it temporarily. Recently, it stopped POSTing again after several restarts until I finally reached the BIOS. This morning it's not working at all. I'm running out of ideas on what's going on and how to fix it—any advice would be super helpful.

Have you checked other PCI-E slots on the motherboard before considering a change for the GPU?

The issue is limited to a single slot, and since the driver didn’t start before this incident, it seems to be related to the software. I’ll attempt to recreate the steps I took the previous day.

It suggests the problem might stem from GPU BIOS or hardware issues rather than just drivers.

It's quite unusual that it functioned normally for a couple of weeks before the problem returned. The issue might be related to hardware, though I considered updating the BIOS and reinstalling Windows today, which would be challenging since the machine wouldn't turn on. It also seemed to work after starting or booting up, but it only appeared after turning off the PC while it was on.

Recording resolution... The problem stemmed from contaminated PCI-E connectors. Removed the graphics card, cleaned the pins, and the system functioned correctly.
