I tried to upgrade my system and needed a BIOS update. After the update, I couldn't boot and kept seeing "Please select a bootable device." I found that choosing the Windows Boot Manager in the Boot Menu worked. Eventually, I learned that setting the boot mode to UEFI fixed the issue. Still, after rebooting, the system boots into the BIOS and doesn't show any hard drives or the Windows Boot Manager in the menu. It only launches Windows on a fresh boot. When I restart, either via Windows or BIOS, it goes straight into the BIOS without displaying any drives.

What might be causing this? I've also tried turning off fast boot, but it didn't help.

Details: CPU – Ryzen 5 2600X; Cooler – Stock; Motherboard – Asus TUF B450-Plus Gaming (BIOS 4401); RAM – HyperX Fury 16GB 2666MHz; Storage – 240GB M.2 PCIe SSD Kingston A1000, 1000GB Seagate Toshiba/WD SATA; GPU – Asus Dual-GTX 1070-O8G, 8GB DDR5; Power Supply – Enermax Marblebron 750W (used ~2 days); OS – Windows 10; Monitor – some random TV.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:

PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.

I reinstalled the previous hardware since the PC wouldn't start after the upgrade. The issue seemed linked to the BIOS version. I planned to change:
Ryzen 5 2600X to Ryzen 5 5600X
GTX 1070 to RX 6750XT
But after reinstalling the old components and updating the BIOS, the problems began.

You might need to reset the CMOS. Adhere to the directions, steps 1 through 4, on top of page 1-4 "Clear RTC RAM" in your User's Manual.
